Before Your Surgery
When you arrive for your procedure, you will be registered by our reception staff and brought into our preoperative area.
Here the nurse will wash the area around your eye and give you drops to dilate and numb your eye for the procedure.
When your eyes are fully dilated, you will be positioned on a stretcher as you will have to lay flat for the procedure.
During Your Surgery
Once you are in the operating room, your eye will be cleaned for the procedure and a sterile drape will be placed over your face to keep the area clean during the surgery.
You may see some light or movement, but you won’t see what is happening to your eye.
You may feel some pressure during the procedure, but should not feel any pain.
Normally, you'll be in the operating room for 15-20 minutes, but the procedure only takes 5-10 minutes.

After Your Surgery

Then the doctor will come see you before you are discharged.
Once discharged please follow the instructions outlined. To view patient discharge instructions you may click below.
Day 4 post op! Day 4 no glasses! The feeling is beyond freeing. The staff was very informative the entire step of the way. During my RLE procedure I was made feel very comfortable and at ease. As nervous as I was it was quick and pain free. I have absolutely no regrets.
Dr French has a first class Eye Surgery Clinic. The whole process from initial consultation to surgery is a model for how a Clinic should operate. Staff are all so understanding and professional at their respective tasks. I’m enjoying my new freedom from glasses with only one eye corrected . Thanks Apex Surgical for all you do.
